Do I have to pay any brokerage at the time of applying for an IPO?

There is no brokerage charged on IPO application. You only need to have the minimum application amount in your bank account while applying. The money will be blocked from time of application to the finalization of basis of allotment. It will be debited if you are allotted shares or unlocked if you are not allotted any shares.
